PellesC color palette format and Enhacement request.
« on: March 30, 2008, 10:24:59 PM »
Hi all.
I've been trying to replace some colors in an icon that I've.
I found that it's quite difficul if you are using 32 bits with alpha because if you copy and paste from ie. paint or IrfanView you will loose the transparency channel.
So I saved the .pal from this particular icon in hope that maybe I could replace the colors manually (acctually I wanted to convert my Icon to gray scale).
How is the .pal format made ?
How can I edit this palette ?
Regards.

The 'Save palette' button saves the default toolbox colors (VGA and some more) - this has nothing to do with the palette used in a certain file. The format of the .pal file is in other words not useful for what you want to do.

Maybe better to explain what you are missing in the IDE, when it comes to the alpha channel, and I can try to add something in the future...
