Title: PellesC continuity?
Post by: jyc on July 09, 2012, 01:06:04 AM
Hello,

First of all, thanks for the wonderful software! It is very useful and very well written and put together.

I am sorry to be asking this strange question but I am genuinely curious - what would happen to PellesC if something were to happen to Pelle? It seems like he is the only developer, so would the software just cease to be improved?

Again, sorry for the strange question (and please do not take offense), but thank you for any answers.

Jonathan

Unless he has arrangements for someone else to take over... yep, it ends with Pelle.

But that's not at all unusual... a lot of the freeware and shareware out there is either abandoned or orphaned.  Doesn't mean it'll stop working, just means no new versions.

It even happens that developers ask for someone else to take over or offer their code as an open source project.
