Title: Setup file for 4.00 is damaged
Post by: gedumer on October 18, 2005, 08:05:42 PM
Hi Pelle,

I've downloaded the 4.00 setup file 5 times. When I try to run it, I always get the message:

  Installer too small

The setup.exe file size is usually appoximately 3.5 to 4m, which is a couple meg short of what it's supposed to be. I've tried downloading with the AVG Virus program both enabled and disabled with the same result. I've also turned Windows Firewall off... same effect. I've never had a problem dl'ing your compiler before so I can't figure this out. I noticed that someone else had the same problem, but you never addressed the issue.

Can you please help. I desperately want to upgrade to 4.00.

Thanks... Gary.

BTW... I also tried to download the ZIP version and had a similar problem with that file as well.

You beat me to it... I just finished downloading the main setup as well as the sdk setup from the mirror site: http://www.christian-heffner.de/ and both files worked correctly.

soooooooo... there definitely is a problem with the files on the main site... at least as far as my PC is concerned.

Hi:

Looks like the same problem (and solution) that I asked about here.

I was blaming my slow connection, but it must be an intermittent problem? Where did the mirror get the file?

There is - of course - nothing wrong with the files on the server. If you have any problems communicating with the server, it's nothing I can do about it...
