Title: Old version of Pelles C for Windows CE/Windows Mobile
Post by: George/Gyorgy on October 14, 2025, 02:22:26 PM
Hello Forum Members,

I am new here, and it is my first post, so greetings to everyone.

I am looking for an older version of Pelles C, which can be used for Windows CE/Windows Mobile. It sound weird, I know, but I would like to try it (for using on some old Symbol/Motorola/Zebra PDA-s, from 2006-2010). I found some reference, which mentions version 7.00 (or 8.00). Is this available somewhere for download? My searches doesn't find any results.

Thanks you,
Gyorgy

Hi Gyorgy,

Some older versions are available.
check this link:

I tried and it will at least get version 8

I could not get version 7 but that might be because I don't know the correct release.

Also might try wayback.

If just Per/Pelle give permisions, you can find it at here later as form of Pelles C 4.5 version.
Last version, 4, worked well with in one WinCE device.

Hi Gyorgy,

Here is Wayback link for version 7 (use the whole line even though not underlined)

https://web.archive.org/web/20140408231258/http://www.smorgasbordet.com/pellesc/

click download on the left and scroll down you will see version 7, for further back you'll probably need to follow Timo's advice and ask Pelle if it can be available.....
