Title: frustration with POIDE
Post by: LouisStDubois on August 15, 2008, 05:23:00 PM
OK maybe I've been spoiled by Borland's IDEs, but I find the POIDE extremely complex and difficult to use.  Even the help files aren't that much help.  I'm new to Pelles' C.  I've got my project to the build stage, but can't get the thing to run because I can't get the menu to even show the run function.  Can someone tell me what step(s) I've omitted?  Thanks for your patience and any help.

Yeah, that was really terse Greg, but unfortunately I can't click on Execute if it won't highlight, so that wasn't very helpful.

Post your project zipped and someone will take a look.

Find the EXE and run it manually. If you don't find an EXE then your build didn't work as well as you hoped.

All new compilers are hard to use and it's generally your fault. Give it time and you'll see that Pelles-C keeps up with the best of them.
