Title: Highlight current line and/or bigger caret?
Post by: kejster on June 08, 2022, 08:27:02 AM
I have started using Pelle's C on a new machine, which has a 4K display.
I have set Windows scaling to 300%.
Everything looks good in Pelle's C, except that the caret in the editor is very hard to see.

Is it possible to get the IDE to highlight the current line?
Alternatively, can the caret be made thicker, or made into a block-caret?

Best regards.
Kenneth.

Unfortunately seems that such settings for caret aren't available.  :(

Yeah, I haven't been able to find it either.
Windows has a settings where you can set a "Text cursor indicator" that draws some colored dots at the top and the bottom of the caret, but it does not take effect in Pelle's C (and lot of other programs), so I don't think it's widely used.

It would be nice to have.   It is one of the great features of TextPad.
I have no clue how difficult it would be to add.
BUT
if it came down to it I would vote for a split window feature in the editor first :)
