Title: problem installing pelles c 64 bit on windows 8
Post by: perlmaster on October 06, 2013, 05:41:34 PM
I had been using pelles c 64 bit successfully for some time on windows 7.
recently i purchased a new windows 8 64 bit laptop.
now when i attempt to install the pelles c 64 bit compiler, i get a warning from my antivirus software that if detected a suspicious file during the install. Specifically the file is sqlite364.dll

when I attempt to run the pelles c compiler ide, i get an error that the sqlite364.dll file is missing. I have tried to delete, the pelles c compiler, reinstall it and instruct my antivirus to add this file to a list so that it does not complain about this file anymore. no luck.

has anyone else had a problem with their antivirus software complaining about the sqlitw364,dll file ? If so how did you resolve the issue ?

thanks for all your assistance.

If you have Avast, try to update it to newest version.
Zipped PellesC folder is good to have too.

Several Add-In's are still target of false heuristic.
