Title: Correct terms
Post by: czerny on June 24, 2014, 06:38:53 PM
May be one of you native english speakers can help me?

I am searching two terms:

Say you have to draw interactively a bezier curve. And you draw some special symbols (say squares) for the four points (2 end points and 2 control points). How are these squares called? In german I would say 'Anfasser'.

Say you connect the first control point with the start point and the second control point with the endpoint by straight lines (may be xored). How are these lines called?

Thank you!

They could be called Nodes.

Perhaps the attached picture helps.

Thank you DMac for the first term!
The second term (for the line from p1 to p2 for example) has something to do with a rubber band. But I can not remember that right.

I don't think that this site will help here in any way. Even when disregarding the fact that they only list UK English...  ;D
