Title: Visual Studio Code
Post by: Grincheux on April 16, 2016, 04:35:51 AM
Visual Studio Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2016/04/14/vscode-1.0)

I think it is not for me, but for someone, perhaps.

I looked at it when it first came out as a public preview, then again when they released the first pubic Beta.
I loath Visual Studio to begin with, I absolutely hated when they switched to those stupid black/low contrast themes. And this web based stuff isn't any better IMHO, on the contrary.
The ease of use of Pelle's C IDE is one of the reason why I use it for a number of things, even non-Windows related stuff. And for my main work, I use a completely different environment/language altogether, so I won't take more than a brief look at the "1.0" release this time either...

For me it looks like the 'M' editor that Microsoft made many years ago. Difficult to use it. O downloaded to see what it was, but I will remove it asap.
