beginner's questions...

If this was ansered elsewhere already, sorry for the repost.

I'm trying to write one huge file, but i tried to start it easy first. Right now i'm trying to write a basic calculator that'll keep up with a game's score. My trouble is, i can't figure out how to use functions, modules, for loops or cases... I understand the basics of programming writing, but i can't figure out how to find the answers...
