Welcome to the new forum. If you can read this, it appears to be working...  ;)

I got sick and tired of phpBB, and since the upcoming version 3 didn't impress me either, I decided to do a quick change to Simple Machines Forum (appears to be the least bad, rather than the best...).

Sorry about the lack of information before this sudden change...

The new forum looks nice! I hope it will be easier for you to control the spammers with SMF.

Thanks! Now that I have started to find my way around SMF, I think it's better than phpBB. This is hopefully true for the spam fighting part too...

I'm a moderator on several SMF based forums and spam is rarely an issue with them like they are with the phpBB based ones. I'm very glad to see that you have switched over SMF and I'm sure that in itself will cut back on the spam :D

Yes, this seems to be a general opinion. Initially, I was a bit annoyed because I couldn't find several settings I was used too from phpBB. Now i know where to look, and realized that SMF can do the same things - and more. I guess it's just another 'learning curve'...
