My programming journey started all the way back in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s. The first programming language I learned was Pascal. R.I.P.

I wrote my first Ms-Dos TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) using Borland Turbo Pascal
back in the 1980's.  Pascal is an easy language to pick up but I find BASIC more to my liking.

At 89, Mr. Wirth defied all the averages for male longevity, so congrats for that.  It's always
sad to say a final goodbye but the harsh truth is that none of us gets out of here alive.   ;)

You realize that the art of computer programming is not old when the "firsts" that were up and running are now starting to die off.

Some old languages are still used in these days.
