POIDE crashes on Win2K on browsing for project
« on: December 31, 2006, 03:09:25 AM »
If I open POIDE on Win2K and try to browse for a project somewhere on my harddrive (other than the default) it often crashes while using the browser window.  Just using the scrolling slides often enough inside the file browser dialog causes the crash.

I can not reproduce the problem on my windows XP 64 installation.

I'm unable to reproduce it at all - for the moment, at least. Will keep trying...

Perhaps the system dependencies are a little bit more complex than just windows 2k.  Though I have not seen the problem crop up with any other win2k program and  as I said it does not happen on windows xp 64.  I am running two nvidia 6600 gtx cards, though only one is connected to a monitor at the present time, and I have a dual processor cpu.  What happens is that the program silently crashes with no warning.

Yes, sounds bad with the crash. I still can't reproduce it, so I assume it's a combination of things (drivers, hardware, whatever, ...).

I had same problem with POIDE and w2k/sp4 ,
it crashed on open project, browsing for ppj files, selecting new project etc...
And then I disabled show splash screen option and since then
POIDE runs without any crashes...
hope it helps...
