Just having a look at Java.
Tried it years ago.
It seems you have to use it to program for android phones.

My opinion so far ....
Java just seems to be a difficult way to write a program in c
( it is c isnt it)??
 :) :) :)

Java has borrowed many things from C, but Java is not C and C will never be Java.

Java needs the Java runtime environment to be installed, C doesn't.

Just to keep you from another wrong assumption, C is not C++ and vice versa.

C is C, C++ is C++ and Java is Java, the difference is like Assembly is not BASIC.

Java is to C what screen doors are to submarines.

No, Java is not C, it just looks fairly similar (just like Perl for example).

And you do not have to program in Java to program for Android, there are other options, like FreePascal for example...

...like Assembly is not BASIC.

Sure?
 ;)

Pretty sure... Last time I looked (which you know is quite recently) Basic isn't going to have the first clue what to do with mov eax, 0 .

Just because someone put up a bunch of macros to make a basic-like syntax for your favorite macro-assembler does not mean it's actually running basic ... and it most certainly does not mean they are the same thing.

You are making the same mistake the OP made... "Looks like" does not mean "is".

Hi

Obviously not exactly c .
But yes very similar in a lot of aspects

It did however have the desired effect and illicited some comments from a very quiet forum. LOL

I do hope you all have a grand holiday
I expect my next question to illicit some grand answers.

What happens when an Unstoppable Force
Meets an immovable object

I take this opportunity to say -:

Thanks for answering my questions over the past few years

Merry Xmas to you all Thanks for the input.
