Installation error

Hi,
trying to install the IDE I get the message

Error creating file for writing:

"$DOCUMENTS\Pelles C Projects\Samples\Standard C\Hello\hello.PPJ"



Hit abort to abort installation,

retry to retry writing the file, or

ignore to skip this file

---------------------------
 what can i do?

Hi Harold.... Most likely this is because your system is missing the "My Documents" folder.  The "My" folders are special system folders, required by Windows for occasions just like yours. (Yeah, I know, Microsoft strikes again )
 
If that's what it is and depending on your Windows version, you will have to restore at least the My Documents folder before it will install.  (Google is your friend...)
 
Also when running the installer look to see if there's an option to not install the samples...
