If you have Visual Studio, there is frankie's Add-In for it  8)

Or Help2 Viewer is for H2 help.

For online MSDN

I downloaded VS2012Documentation.iso 2,7 GB, extracted some mshc-files (500 MB in disk) and made a viewer for them.
Without any installations.

From catalogs some of F1 keywords are still missing from Desktop help files.

v2Windows Desktop App Development_en-us_vs.85, 322 MB download, fix some F1 keywords.

I download it too. Do you share your viewer?
Thanks

TLWHView:
https://forum.pellesc.de/index.php?topic=7259.msg27602#msg27602

TLWHViewRE is under development, it use richedit/msftedit.dll as viewer.

An example for a test:
Code: [Select]
SET MSHC_PATH=C:\code\MSDN-2016\msh
WHelpIdxCreate.exe %MSHC_PATH%
echo [mshc]>TLWHViewRE.ini
echo Path=%MSHC_PATH%>>TLWHViewRE.ini
echo [mshc]>TLWHViewRE64.ini
echo Path=%MSHC_PATH%>>TLWHViewRE64.ini
TLWHViewRE.exe /Sleep
pause
HelpView.ini, in AddIns64 folder
Code: [Select]
[Settings]
Program=C:\code\bin64\TLWHViewRE64.exe

BTW: Avast and AVG try to stop me to develop this viewer.
VirusTotal, they are not really a programmers friends.

I tried to stop their harassment for PellesC.

In here is enough files to test.
