ERRORS with __cdecl

i keep getting errors like:

unauthorized usage of '__cdecl'

for all may headers when i try to compile unless the program is as simple as a printf command or something like that.

i know some basic c programming and know the fault isent mine so if someone could please help me it would be much appreciated.
