Hi Colin,
If you post an attempt at code someone may be kind enough to give you some pointers, but asking the way you are is just like asking for someone to write your code for you, which is (please take this as constructive criticism) annoying.
There are some very kind and helpful folks on this list who take time to help newbies, but you will probably get a better response if it appears you are making an effort to solve the problem yourself.
Also, did you see the "Newbies Questions" section? First list, I believe.
