suggestion for snippet manager.

Could it be possible to add variables to the snippets like:
$file_name for current file name.
$file_ext for current file extension.
$FILE_NAME for uppercased name.
$year current year
$month current month
$day current day

Maybe a slightly different set of variables, but it shouldn't be too difficult to add...

Right now I'm more interested in the C compiler than the IDE, so I will put this on the wishlist - and then we see what happens...
