W2k SP4 IDE TAB Bug(?)
« on: January 15, 2007, 08:53:09 AM »
Just trying out Pelles C 4.50 and have noticed when using the IDE any TABS that immediately preceede any of the following:-
    Reserved Words
    Comments
    Numeric constants
    Preprocessor directive
    Functions
    Operators
    CRLF (End of line)

then the tabbed area is not repainted. If the IDE is minimized then restored, the tabbed areas become transparent areas showing the underlying window. While tabbing immediately before whitespace or normal text, the tabbing behaves correctly by repainting. Since you do not seem to have had earlier reports it could just be my system. If so, sorry to waste you time.

Thanks. Alphie.

AFAIK, this can be solved by installing a 'better' display driver...

Umm.. seem to be using the latest drivers, mind you the computer is getting a bit long in the tooth (PIII). No real problem, I can remember to add a space before using tabs or change the Tabs option from 'keep tabs' to 'insert spaces'. Either will work.
